My Father on The Declaration of Independence / Constitution Part 2


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,--That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.  Prudence, indeed will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes, and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.  But when . . .

I shall continue at some future date and with God’s help we shall go through the entire Declaration and Constitution during the future issues.  

I would like to make one point.  Our country was founded on Christian principles and anyone who tells you differently is not telling the truth.  As we progress with this American History Lesson, I shall include proof of the statement  just made.  Beloved, we need to get back to the roots of our nation and get back on our knees before God Almighty while He still holds us in His hands.  We are very close to stepping out of His grace and I for one do not want that to happen.  
Pray about this and keep returning here as we continue our journey to rekindle the fires of patriotism and pursuit of our rights and do let your friends know about this blog because they need to have their fires rekindled as well.
