Look Who is Watching What?

Mar 12:41-44 NLT
(41) Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.
(42) Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.
(43) Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.
(44) For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on."

This story represents true “sacrificial” giving, however the most interesting part of the story is that Jesus watched what was being given! He purposely positioned Himself “near the collection box” to see who was giving what. Today, Jesus is sitting at the Right Hand of The Father and is still watching. The Lord was and is the ultimate giver and those who are called by His Name should bare the same trait. We are all capable of giving, however The Lord is watching for those who sacrifice to give.

It is not the amount of dollars you give, but the amount of you in the giving that Jesus is still watching for!
