Joseph: The Step Father of The Christ Child

I have always wondered about Jesus' earthly father - Joseph.  The Bible speaks very little about him, however, God's Word says more than we think.  We know that when Joseph found out Mary was pregnant, he decided to quietly divorce her, which in essence meant he was bearing her shame.

Matthew 1:19 NIV  Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.


God refers to Joseph as a "Righteous" man.  We would call Joseph an "Honorable" man whom loved and cared for Mary's welfare and reputation.  God, knowing what Joseph was going through, (He knows what you are going through also) sent the angel of the Lord to speak with him;

Matthew 1:20-24 NIV  
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us."
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

Not only could Joseph hear from God, but obeyed without question or hesitation!  Now you may be saying:  I don't know if I could have done that, not without some more explanation or time to think...   That always is the major difference between people who call themselves Christians and those who truly "Know His voice"!?  The latter can only come from a personal relationship with the Lord.


When God chose Mary to bear Jesus he had also chosen Joseph to raise Him!  We believe Joseph was "around" a lot (at home), working nearby, and as any father, desired to influence his adopted son.  Children are chosen by God for us, and a blessing from the Lord the Bible tells us.  However adopted children are twice chosen, once by the Lord and another by the parents - they are Doubly Blessed!  You to can receive this Double Blessing of God's sonship:

Romans 8:15 NASB  For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"


God not only chose Joseph and Mary, but chose you too...

A Different Christmas Story

Yesterday I received an email from a very good friend of mine whom has been struggling.  We live quite a ways apart and don't correspond as often as we should.  Earlier this year I knew something was not well with him, but he refused to tell me and said he needed time before he was ready to talk.  The following is a portion of the email he sent:


Ern:
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write or call you. I'm at the lowest
point a person can be in their life. I'm getting divorced, no job, no money
& on the verge of homelessness. And to add to all that I was diagnosed with
leukemia 3 years ago & just recently diagnosed with prostate cancer &
recently had the radiation seeds put in. As soon as our divorced is
finalized in January, I'll have health insurance for 30 days and then I'll
be without insurance.  I'm sorry to contact you with nothing but bad news but
that's all I have.


To my knowledge, my friend has still not surrendered his life to the Lord.  I shared this with just a couple of family members and friends.  Ironically, my oldest daughter and one of my close friends responded immediately.  Breana has known him since she was two years old, and calls him "Uncle" to this day.

I write this because I think of how people will say; "I will pray for you."  I am sorry, but most of the time people say this because it appeases their conscience about not doing something.  In reality, most people don't know how to pray and can't because God doesn't hear the prayers of the unsaved.  UH OH, did I just loose some friends with that last one.  The only prayer God hears of the unsaved is their cry for salvation.

Lets assume that we are saved and say we will pray but don't - what a disgrace to God and those who ask us to pray.  While I'm prying, do you even read the Christmas story as recorded in The Book of Luke on Christmas Day - Sorry, I am hurting for him and not thinking...

God still answers prayer, and still uses people primarily to do it with.  Santa can't help my friend, but maybe Jesus will use you and me too?

This Christmas season is for people just like my friend because; Jesus came to heal the broken hearted!  Pray with me, at least once, that my friend will respond to Christ' calling him.

Airport Security: Israel Profiles, We Strip Search Nuns and Children

If we look at the short history of airports and their security, it is not Americans that are making terrorist threats.  As a matter of fact, it's not Europeans, Canadians, Australians, or Jews - it is Muslims!  When you hear of a car bombing or other terrorist attack, honestly, who do you think of?

Maybe we should take a lesson from our Jewish Allies and concentrate on this group of people instead of strip searching my daughters?  Call me "Crazy", "profiling", as a former Law Enforcement Professional, I can tell you it is not politically correct but it works!  Nothing is perfect, but lets at least start with something that works and has been working in the most targeted airports in the world - In Israel.


The following are excerpts from "Sowell: Airport 'Security'?"  By Thomas Sowell November 23, 2010.

No country has better airport security than Israel-- and no country needs it more, since Israel is the most hated target of Islamic extremist terrorists. Yet, somehow, Israeli airport security people don't have to strip passengers naked electronically or have strangers feeling their private parts.

Does anyone seriously believe that we have better airport security than Israel? Is our security record better than theirs?

What other administration has had an Attorney General call the American People "cowards"? And refuse to call terrorists Islamic? What other administration has had a Secretary of Homeland Security warn law enforcement officials across the country of security threats from people who are anti-abortion, for federalism or are returning military veterans?
If anything good comes out of the airport "security" outrages, it may be in opening the eyes of more people to the utter contempt that this administration has for the American people.

What do the Israeli airport security people do that American airport security do not do? They profile. They question some individuals for more than half an hour, open up all their luggage and spread the contents on the counter-- and they let others go through with scarcely a word. And it works.
Meanwhile, this administration is so hung up on political correctness that they have turned "profiling" into a bugaboo. They would rather have electronic scanners look under the clothes of nuns than to detain a Jihadist imam for some questioning.

The Right Side of Man's Law, The Wrong Side of God's Law

This Blog is dedicated to my former Law Enforcement Brothers and Sisters and to my good friend Eddie Farnsworth.

I met Eddie 3 1/2 years ago, when he began coming to our church after getting "Saved".   (Acts 2:21 But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.')  He was in my Sunday School class and I took to him instantly.  Not knowing anything of Eddie's past, we began to talk after class and he would call me "Ernie Brother" as opposed to Brother Ernie (which is common in a church setting).  Unbeknownst to Eddie, "Ernie Brother" was a nick name given to me by my oldest sister after my mom brought me home from the hospital.  My mother told my sister that; "this is your brother Ernie" and she said; "Ernie Brother" and it stuck!


Today I visited Eddie in the local detention center, where he is serving a ninety day sentence for something he did five years ago - our justice system in action.  While visiting with him, he told me that he shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ whenever he can.  Now Eddie is a stout, loud, assertive man, and when he talks the inmates listen!  I told him that if we met nine years ago when I was with the Palm each County Sheriff's Office, we would have been on opposite sides of the law and enemies.  However, now (I told Eddie) you are one of three people I can count on in a moments notice for help.


As we both wiped away a tear, I began to think that I was once on the right side of the law and Eddie on the wrong side, but I was on the wrong side of God's Law (Ten Commandments).  Eddie told me that the guys (other detainees) don't get it.  They think they need to get better so they won't have to come back here - thats the lie!  The Bible says the heart (of every man) is deceitfully (translated: incurably) wicked and God doesn't make us "better or good", He "transforms" us (Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.) by changing the way we think.


I remember being so proud of being a Deputy, and nothing wrong with that, however I was a hypocrite.  I openly broke many of God's Commandments, and quite frankly, if you break one you have broken them all the Bible says.  I didn't want to be a hypocrite, but I was.


I was on the right side of man's law, but just as doomed as Eddie was behind bars in jail when he was caught.  I too, would be "caught" at Judgement Day.  It was then that I put my trust / faith in Jesus Christ and repented of my sins (which were many).

O Little Town of Bethlehem

Phillips Brooks lived from 1835-1893 in New England.  He graduated from the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1859, but was best known for two things; his size, for he was six feet four inches tall and for writing the manuscript of "O Little Town of Bethlehem".

Brooks had made a name for himself as a preacher and a patriot.  His great physical size was matched by his moral stature.  "My only ambition", Brooks once wrote; "is to be a parish priest and, though not much of one, would as a college president be still less".


As large and respected of a man as he was, Brooks only measured himself against his Master, Jesus Christ.  In a sermon on Humility, he wrote that people will never be able to achieve humility by comparing themselves against each other.  We must measure ourselves against the one true standard, The Lord Jesus!

"The true way to be humble," said Brooks "is not to stoop until you are smaller than yourself, but to stand at your real height against someone higher who will show you what the real smallness of your greatness is."


Every year we talk about the commercialism of Christmas, why not do something about it.  Start with yourself: 2 Corinthians 13:5 NLT
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

Make "humility" part of your life this Christmas!  Jesus, The King of Glory, humbled himself to be born a man, suffer for your sins and be crucified, raised back to life on the third day and for all of us it started in the Little Town of Bethlehem...

Steve Johnson Blames God for Dropped Football?

Did God make Steve Johnson, #13 of the Buffalo Bills, drop the winning touchdown pass on Sunday?  Was it mere chance?  Could God have made him drop the pass?  If He did, why?  More importantly, does God even care about the game of football?  The answers might surprise you!  Lets take them one at a time.

Sunday after missing the game winning TD pass in OT, Johnson tweeted; "I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!!" AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO..."  Mr Johnson has bad theology if he believes that just because he Praises God all will be well.  The people of God are promised Trials, Tribulations, Persecutions and Eternal Life.  For the third part of his tweet; Yes, God does expect you to learn from this and about never forgetting this - If this is the worst thing in your life, you should be THANKFUL!  Now for the second part which I had skipped.  Does God have my (or Steve's) best intentions in mind or does he have His best intentions for me (and Steve) in mind?  I do believe that God was involved in the missed pass.  Psalms 37:23 NLT  The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.

As for "chance", there is no such thing!  Ask any Physicist, Mathamatician or Theologian.  

Now the biggie:  God does care about Football, because people are involved and God cares about people.  Does God care who wins or loses?  Yes, I believe He does - not for the reasons we do though.  Everything that happens is part of God's Sovereign Will.  Ephesians 1:11 NLT  Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.

Foundation of The Original Thanksgiving - Do you know?

The original thanksgiving was held in Massachusetts by the Pilgrim settlers during their second winter in America in December, 1621. The first winter had killed about one third of the original 102 colonists. At one point their daily food ration was a hand-full down of corn kernels apiece.  A trading vessel showed up unexpectedly, swapping them beaver pelts for corn.  This brought hope to the next crop season and Governor William Bradford decreed that December 13, 1621, be set aside as a day of feasting and prayer to show the gratitude of the colonists that they were still alive.

The Pilgrims, whom had sought religious freedom and an opportunity in America, gave thanks to God for His provision (Jehovah Jireh-The Lord Will Provide) for helping them find cleared land for planting their crops, for the fact that there were no hostile Indians in that area, for their religious freedom, and for God’s provision of an interpreter to the Indians.  Along with the feasting and games, the Pilgrims and 80 friendly Indians (who added to the feast by bringing wild turkeys and venison), gave prayers, sermons, and songs of praise during the celebration. They spent three days feasting and praying.

From that time on Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a day to give thanks to God for His gracious and sufficient provision. President Abraham Lincoln officially set aside the last Thursday of November, in 1863, “as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father.” In 1941, Congress ruled that after 1941, the fourth Thursday of November be observed as Thanksgiving Day and be a legal holiday.

I hope you knew this and continue to celebrate in the same fashion as it was intended.  Happy Thanksgiving to my Family, Church Family, Law Enforcement Family and Friends.

Help Economy by Increasing Unemployment - What???

About three days ago on Fox news I heard an analyst indicate that since Obama took office two years ago, federal jobs have not only increased dramatically but earners making 150K or more doubled!  DOUBLED, are you kidding me!  State and federal workers earn there respective salaries though TAXES.  I am all for people making money, that is what capitalism is all about HOWEVER, you can not tax a nation into prosperity - even though Obama is trying.  


My solution is simple; eliminate the jobs he added (even if we have to pay unemployment, we will be better off).  Stop these so called "Free Trade Trips", you know, the one he is on now with 3100 people, costing us (tax payers) 200 million dollars a day!  Free trade apparently is costing us a fortune.


Most importantly "FIRE" the president, we can not afford him - Its a start...

Witches and Warlocks in Government

Halloween is upon us again.  This seemingly innocent time of costumes, candies and kiddies - is it really?  All Hollows Eve is the highest unholy day of the year, yet here in the West, we are educated and don't believe in all that rubbish.  How ignorant!  Whether you believe in evil or not it exists and in very high places of authority.

Lets look at the subversives (liberal left), already there are reports of voter fraud with the SEIU (Service Employees International Union), Dem's have a paid force (and volunteers) to go out and round up minorities to vote because they are easily "persuadable", counting the votes of dead people, people voting more than once, not to mention our bother's and sister's, son's and daughter's in the military who's ballots are being challenged.  Why, because the military is one of the two conservative institutions left in our country (the other is the Church).  This can only be described as EVIL...

Note: When Congress abolished the Draft in 1973, it effectively destroyed conservative education in this country.  What a danger Conservatism is the the US; these conservatives believe in God, Country and Family, that there is one true God, whom has blessed this Country so through our families we could help others and other nations - This is dangerous stuff!  Wait, I am one of those conservatives!

It's "Fu" Season, Are you Inoculated?

Ernie, you mean "Flu" Season right?  No it is "Fu" (pronounced "few") season. The main pathogens during this season are "politics" and the "liberal media" which are blown in on the storm of the election!

Signs of the "Fu" are: few to little knowledge - far to much ignorance, few to Statesmen - far to many politicians, few to men of character - far to many characters, few to many people of conviction - far to many convicted and to few truth - many deceptions!

Why is it that we must be spoon-fed on truth which most of the time we no longer find palatable, while we gorge ourselves on the fast food of the media?

My Brother Erik on: Separation of Church vs. State, Part II

The purpose of the First Amendment was to declare that the federal government had absolutely no jurisdiction in matters of religion. It could neither establish a religion, nor prohibit the free exercise of religion. 

I want to emphasize that it is freedom of religion NOT freedom from religion, which is what many groups truly want for our nation.

The First Amendment clearly erected a barrier between the federal government and religion on a state level. If a state chose to have no religion, or to have an established religion, the federal government had no jurisdiction one way or the other.  This is what Thomas Jefferson meant by the "wall of separation." 

In context, the word "state" really referred to the federal government. The First Amendment did not apply to the states. It was only applicable as a restraint against the federal government.

There is nothing wrong with the way Jefferson used the "wall of separation between church and state" metaphor. The problem has arisen when the Supreme Court in 1947 erroneously picked up the metaphor and attempted to construct a constitutional principal. Not only did they distort the First Amendment, but misinterpreted the intent of Jefferson's letter.

The "wall of separation between church and state" phrase as understood by Jefferson was never meant to exclude people of faith from influencing and shaping government. Thomas Jefferson and our other Founding Fathers would be shocked to learn that Jefferson’s letter has been used as a weapon against religion.

Fifty on Faith, Family and Friends

Yesterday, September 19th 2010 I turned 50 years old.  Reflecting back, I have discovered the three most important things in life!?  They are Faith, Faith and Faith.  Faith, however in just faith is no good.  It is what I put my "Faith In" that is important.  Let me explain.

1.  My Faith:  What good is it if I was to obtain all this world can give and miss going to heaven?  Last year when we gave up what few toys we had to adopt Caleb and get custody of Corina, it was much easier than I thought.  It is not that Carey and I don't want things, we do.  It is that things are less and less important.   I was going to use the word sacrifice, but that implies we gave up something - we didn't, we gained a Son and Daughter!  We thought we were rescuing them, when in fact they rescued us!

I am the selfish one in the family.  I graduated from the University of Self-Centeredness with honors no less.   Most of you whom have taken the time to read this probably know how sinful I am (it is still my nature).  I have blasphemed in both word and action The One True God whom I have claimed to serve, but when I called upon the name of Jesus, repented and put my trust in Him and Him alone, He saved me!

2.  My Family's Faith:  I told my oldest daughter Breana several years ago that Reading, Writing and Arithmetic were important, however the most important thing is that we "finish together".  The only way to do that is that our entire family all goes to Heaven.  God is not a grandfather, but a Father which means Breana cannot get to heaven on my faith but must have her own relationship with The Lord.

Carey and I are blessed.  Breana, Joshua and Corina are all soundly saved.  As for Caleb, he is only 22 months and is "safe".  When the time comes Caleb will need to put his trust and faith in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  We pray over him that he gets soundly saved at an early age.  What faith is it that I have that I cannot share it with my children?  Even worse, what father am I that because of my arrogance and pride reject Christ and just at the end I am able to receive Him as Savior but leave my family to perish a sinners death?

3.  My Friends Faith:  Some of my friends are saved and some are not and some I just don't know.  It is truly my desire for all of you to have eternal life with Christ.  If you are one that doesn't believe this then it is you I need to pray for the most.  You are not saved because you go to church, know a church or built a church.

As Pastor Tom Peters from Trinity Church International once said:  "It is not an affiliation or denomination that saves.  As a matter of fact, you better get rid of those denominational tags, because they are going to fall off if you go up or burn off if you go down!?"  It is a relationship with Jesus Christ, the only Son of God whom left heaven to be born of a virgin, was beaten and crucified and died for our past sins, present sins and future sins, raised to life on the third day and now sits at God's right hand to intercede on our behalf to those who have put their Faith in Him.

What you have done in the past is not nearly as important as what you will do with the present!

My Brother Erik on: Separation of Church vs. State, Part I


One of the most disturbing trends of the last 70 years in America has been the eradication of this nation’s Judeo Christian principles and influences from all walks of government and even general society.

Groups like the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for Separation of Church and State has attempted to create an environment in which government and religion are enemies.

Their favorite phrase that they and their friends in the liberal mainstream media keep trumpeting over and over has been "separation of church and state."  They have touted the phrase so many times that most people believe the phrase is in the Constitution. Nowhere is "separation of church and state" referenced in the Constitution.

In 1947 the Supreme Court popularized Thomas Jefferson's "wall of separation between church and state."  Taking the Jefferson metaphor out of context, these groups have often used the phrase to silence Christians and to limit any Christian influence from affecting the political system.

The obvious first problem with the above assertion is that this quote, “wall of separation between church and state”, is not from an official government document.  It was in a letter from Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association.

The Danbury Baptists sent a congratulatory letter to Thomas Jefferson upon his election as President in 1801.  The Danbury Baptists was alliance of churches in Western Connecticut. The Baptists were a religious minority in the state of Connecticut where Congregationalism was the established church. 

In a nutshell, the Danbury Baptists expressed concern in their letter to President Jefferson that the Federal Government would establish one religion for all the states. 

Jefferson, in a draft of his letter to the Danbury Baptists stated “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that legitimate powers of government reach actions only and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; thus building a wall of separation between church and state.”

It is clear as one read’s Jefferson’s letter in its entirety that it was Jefferson's original intent that "wall of separation between church and state" meant that the church was to be protected from the government, not the reverse.

President Obama on 911: Deceiver or Deceived?

On Saturday President Obama made this statement: "As Americans we will not and never will be at war with Islam. It was not a religion that attacked us that September day. It was Al-Qaeda, (a) sorry band of men, which perverts religion,"   


While outside the White House Randall Terry, a leading anti-abortion campaigner, and one of six people who took part in ripping pages from koran said: "Part of why we're doing that, please hear me: the charade that Islam is a peaceful religion must end."


I was going to site numerous instances, articles and writings to show how either misinformed or downright deceptive this president is, however I will just give you this to think about.  We are all at war!?  Most call it a battle between "Good" and "Evil".  This is not to far from the truth, but the real battle is "TRUTH"!  There can only be one true truth for truth to be true!  On the other hand there can be many lies which may look true but are designed to hide the truth?


So the question: Is America and the principles that are Founding Father's used to create this great nation part of the deception and islam the true truth or the other way around.  After all the islamic world refers to us as the "great satan" (no capitalization on purpose my English majors).


For those of you thinking that there are many ways...  you have been deceived already!  You are either the "pawn" or the "prize" in this battle.  The Giver of Truth not only allows you to choose but has made The Way for you.

911, It's Not That We Have Forgotten - It Is What We Chose To Remember!?


Tomorrow commemorates the ninth anniversary of the attack from Islamic Terrorists against the United States.  It is said Americans have short memories so the motto was "Never Forget"!

This Great Nation was attacked outwardly by the most deadly enemy - one that is dedicated to our destruction.  Islam is dedicated to ruling its enemies, all of them.  Islam does not have a short memory.  Those who practice this religion have made it clear that they will destroy America from within no matter how long it takes.

This country has been betrayed by people from within our own government, starting with its highest office!  Ernie, you didn't just say what I thought you said?  I sure did!!!  Stop talking to yourself and writing it down.  Ok, oh sorry.

I am not attacking people, but their behavior.  I'm not pushing a socialistic agenda.  I'm not the one who said that they were embarrassed with this country.  I'm not the one who bows before other leaders.  I'm not the one doesn't salute our Flag.  I'm not the one raised muslim.  I'm not the one who denounces our Christian Heritage.  I'm not the one who voted for him either!

"Professional Football". Why Don't Players Act Like It?

Well, college and pro-football are upon us and I am glad for several reasons - Fall Season, cooler weather and watching our favorite teams.  My wife Carey, graduated from FSU, however we now live "Between The Hedges" in North Ga.!

Today we are going to focus on "Professional Football".  During Labor Day weekend my brother Erik told me that if he was a college football coach that he would tell his players;  When you score in the end-zone, act like you have been there before and not a prima-donna.  Further more the only excessive celebration should occur at the end of the game when you have won!


This got me thinking about Humility or Meekness and the lack of it today.  Whatever your job was or is, did you jump up and down, come up with a special dance or yell to your coworkers to look at you and what you did?  This was or is what you get paid to do!  Others should be "tooting our horn" like the crowd in the stands and your fellow players - NOT YOURSELF!


Don't imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call "humble" nowadays: he won't be a sort of greasy, smarmy person, who's always telling you that, of course, he's nobody. Probably all you'll think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him. My Father on The Declaration of Independence / Constitution Part 2


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,--That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.  Prudence, indeed will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes, and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.  But when . . .

I shall continue at some future date and with God’s help we shall go through the entire Declaration and Constitution during the future issues.  

I would like to make one point.  Our country was founded on Christian principles and anyone who tells you differently is not telling the truth.  As we progress with this American History Lesson, I shall include proof of the statement  just made.  Beloved, we need to get back to the roots of our nation and get back on our knees before God Almighty while He still holds us in His hands.  We are very close to stepping out of His grace and I for one do not want that to happen.  
Pray about this and keep returning here as we continue our journey to rekindle the fires of patriotism and pursuit of our rights and do let your friends know about this blog because they need to have their fires rekindled as well.

Sunday Nights Eye Still on Godly Character with Tim Tebow

The long awaited Sunday Night Football Season was even more highly anticipated as thousands, maybe millions of Tim Tebow fans waited to see his Bronco quarterback debut.  During a half-time interview he said that he was blessed for having the opportunity to play for the Broncos.

Many people like Tim Tebow because he is the "Real Deal" when it comes to his Faith in Jesus, and many don't for the same reason?  Like you who read this, there are many people looking to see if you and I are the "Real Deal".  I believe most want Tim and you to succeed, just to know God has people who can be on top and yet humbly step aside to let Christ get the Glory.  Don't be fooled, there are always enemies lurking in the shadows to capitalize on our failures, and I have had my share of them (failures that is, just ask my friends).

Sunday, Tim threw the first touchdown pass of his professional career, but his greatest touchdown was not a pass, but rather a catch he made when he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  That wasn't covered on ESPN - that's ok.  Is it just me or is the fact that this was "Sunday" a coincidence?  Coincidence is God's middle name!  He is also closer to Heaven at Mile High Stadium - ok I am going to stop.  I just couldn't resist...

Better to be called a Bigot and be Right, than a Traitor and be Left?

Last night on Fox News, Sean Hannity had two guest "discussing" the mosque issue near the 911 sight in New York.  I don't recall there names however I do recall their Stance.  The lady was making the statement that this was a sensitivity issue to the Americans who were killed during this attack.  I forgot, who attacked us again???  The "gentleman" (which he was not) started throwing out the "B" word while she was talking.  The lady was impressive and held her own, but I want to look at definitions today.

I do not know of one person who is forced to live in the United States?  Or one person who has been tortured or killed for converting to Christianity in our nation?  Or one woman who after being raped was punished by public "lashings" because "she brought it upon herself" while the male criminals were released without punishment?

Besides, whomever did these things would be considered "Bigots" by definition!

Being "free" does not mean doing whatever you want - that is actually bondage!

A mosque overlooking 911 Sight? WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

This Country was founded on Revolution, not rebellion.  Our Founding Fathers believed there was a better way and that not all ways are the same!  We are so interested in giving everyone, everything and every-religion equal rights that we are completely undermining what our Founders worked and died for!

The subversive-liberal media and there government and judicial representatives want us to believe that the Islam religion is the "most peaceful religion" when  in fact it is the most violent.  The Islam plan is to destroy from within no matter how long it takes.  Americans are spoiled and want things quickly.  We are not a people of patience and planning.  We have become an easy target for any wacky cult, militia group or  terrorist training organization within our own borders tearing away Americans Rights.

You may disagree with me and have that right to be wrong, however after 200+ years as a nation muslims have infiltrated the highest office in this country!  I do not believe it was our Founding Fathers plan to give rights to individuals, peoples or nations that openly plan to undermine this Nation - do you?  It is my personal belief that if you support a mosque near the 911 sight, you are an enemy of this nation.

My Father on The Declaration of Independence / Constitution Part 1


How many of you have actually read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution including all of the Amendments?  How many of you who have read them have read them within the last 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months or 10 years?

I have just reread them and had forgotten how powerful this short statement really is.  It rekindles the love for our country (if you have one, and if you don’t, then why are you reading this?) and the obvious love that the Founding Fathers had forAmerica.

I shall not write it all here now but I shall give it to you bit by bit.  I pray that it has the same impact on you that it had on me.

 When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect for the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Still just a Male or has a Man Emerged?

Mary A. Kassian, an award winning author and renowned speaker, is the author of Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild.  I was listening to her being interviewed about her book on the radio a few weeks ago and she was talking about some of the responses and comments she has received from men.  One gentleman in particular had called in and told Miss Mary that as a "Male" he was attracted to "Girls Gone Wild", however as he matured more into a "Man" he was now repulsed by it!



I have some friends today who seem to turn juvenile when talking about women, and they are in their 40's and 50's.  This is every mans struggle - not just the issue of the opposite sex but trying to "Man-Up".  There are some things in life that my wife should never have to deal with or worry about  - because she didn't just marry a male but a Man.

It is time we recognized that "liberal thinking" is not liberal at all but subversive to this nation's heritage and way of life.  If you are getting your news and general info from the "Triple-Threat"; ABC, NBC and CBS or the Controlling News Network (CNN) then you don't have a clue as to what is really going on.  The statement I just made may sound harsh, but is actually taught in our colleges today!
